Trump's lackeys have seen to it that the new GOP platform will not have anything that might upset Trump's buddy Vladimir Putin.
There will be no plank calling for weapons to be supplied to Ukraine in order to fight Russian and rebel forces there -- even though almost all Republican foreign policy leaders in Washington have called for that.
Why not?
Well, it MIGHT have something to do with the fact that Trump's campaign chairman Paul Manafort worked as a lobbyist for the Russian-backed former Ukrainian dictator Viktor Yanukovych for over ten years.
Trump has resisted all calls for supporting the Ukraine government against the Russian-led intervention.
