Clinton Contemptuously Calls Voters "Deplorable"

Clinton: Half of Trump supporters are in 'basket of deplorables'

New York (CNN)Hillary Clinton told an audience of donors Friday night that half of Donald Trump's supporters fall into "the basket of deplorables," meaning people who are racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic.

This has to be a major mistake. She wasn't winning the tradition blue collar voter that used the make up the backbone of the Democrat party and now she has gone on and alienated the rest of these voters.

Pundits are comparing to Romney's 47 percent remark. The only diffrence was that Romney's remarks were secretly recorded at a private gathering while Clinton was at a public fundraiser and knew full well her remarks were being recorded.

You may see whites voting for Trump at levels no Republican has ever seen before.

And it's not because they necessarily like Trump.

They despise Hillary Clinton and it's a vote against her.

I doubt this will move the needle that much for the white vote. Trump still isn't going to do well with college educated whites. Nixon and Reagan must have each won whites by a 2:1 ratio in their landslides.

Still, it may help to move it enough for a Trump victory. The USA may truly need God's help if that happens.

Another take was that it was a mistake to make it almost into a joke that brings laughter. A basket of deplorables sounds sort of fun.

It just might "undercut" the entire "dark and scary" projection she is trying to associate with the Trump crowd.

Scott Adams is referring to them as the "adorable deplorables".

There is a mime among the (usually liberal) intelligentsia that Hillary's remarks are a deliberate ploy to keep the white college educated vote home by shaming them from voting for Trump.

After all who wants to be associated with the stereotypical ignorant, toothless, racist hillbillies that Clinton paints.

The trouble is that it pretty much doesn't so much as discourage the vote as to drive it underground.

That's what happened to the Brexit vote. Any Brit who voted for "leave" was shamed by being portrayed as the British equivalent of a southern cracker.

As a result the "shy Brexit voter" appeared and pretty much took the election under the radar.

i'm not falling for that. i know many educated folks of all races and both genders with advanced and professional degrees that are trump supporters. the msm had been making this claim and it's been accepted as fact. what i would like to know is how a college educated person of ANY race/gender could possibly cast a ballot for hillary. she's a known quantity - a sociopathic serial liar.
